Sangria is one of the best refreshing summer drinks that every wine lover will enjoy. This traditional Spanish recipe is super easy and extremely delicious.

1. 1/2 Orange
2. 1 Apple
3. 1/4-1/2 cup Brandy
4. 0-4 tablespoons brown sugar
5. Spanish Red Wine
6. Orange Juice
The tradition of sangria (and other forms of mulled wine) go back to ancient Greece and Rome and made it’s way into Spain. But due to Islamic conquering of Spain, it didn’t resurface until the 15th century.
Variations on house sangria — which means blood in Spanish, in reference to the red wine used — ruled in Spain. Traditionally, it’s been made with Spanish Tempranillo and other wine from Rioja with added citrus fruit. But even then, no Sangria was made the same.
Sangria became popular in the United States in the mid 20th century and is a staple drink with Tapas.
